My current body of work explores the possibilities of extra-planetary life within abstracted, dreamy spacescapes. Acrylic, oil, oil pastel, colored pencil and watercolor are used to achieve various extra-terrestrial textures, and obscured dreamlike surroundings. I employ a breadth of saturated palettes to evoke wonderment and spark the viewer’s imagination about the future worlds we may inhabit.

In the latest evolution of this series, I’ve started to include female astronauts participating in activities that are historically underrepresented by women or less supported in media and culture as a whole. I hope to bring awareness to these sports and industries and the women who pioneered them.
